Pick Team Player Position College Height Weight
1 Team Image Miami Dolphins Chris Long DE Virginia 6-4 285
Long can play in both the 3-4 and 4-3. Parcells likes to build his lines first and Chris Long would be a great start.
2 Team Image St. Louis Rams Jake Long T Michigan 6-7 305
Jake long can play guard initially then eventually take over for the aging Orlando Pace and start opposite Alex Barron for years to come.
3 Team Image Atlanta Falcons Darren McFadden RB Arkansas 6-1 217
The Falcons need to attract their fans back to the stadium after the Vick incident and McFadden would provide that along with being the complete package at RB.
4 Team Image Oakland Raiders Glenn Dorsey DT LSU 6-2 300
Warren Sapp's retirement has left a hole at DT for the Raiders. Dorsey is second to McFadden in overall talent, but his injury concerns may scare away some teams.
5 Team Image Kansas City Chiefs Sedric Ellis DT Southern California 6-1 295
Ellis has surpassed Dorsey in some rankings after an impressive Senior Bowl and the fact that he doesn't have the same injury concerns. The Chiefs would have no hesitation putting him in the starting lineup between Jared Allen and Tamba Hali.
6 Team Image New York Jets Vernon Gholston DE Ohio State 6-4 260
The Jets need a pass rush in the worst way making Gholston a perfect fit for them here. Gholston has shown he can rush the passer from DE or OLB.
7 Team Image New England Patriots Dominque Rodgers CB Tennessee State 6-1 185
DRC is big, fast, and versatile. The Pats are likely to lose Samuel and were already thin in the secondary making DRC the logical pick here.
8 Team Image Baltimore Ravens Matt Ryan QB Boston College 6-5 225
Some question whether Ryan is actually a first round talent or just the best of a mediocre crop of QBs, but the Ravens will take the chance here that Ryan is indeed a potential franchise QB.
9 Team Image Cincinnati Bengals Keith Rivers OLB Southern California 6-3 230
The Bengals problems on defense began with the lack of LBs. They were so desperate that they signed Dhani Jones after he was cut by two teams and immediately inserted him in the starting lineup.
10 Team Image New Orleans Saints Mike Jenkins CB South Florida 5-11 200
It's no secret that the Saints had no quality CBs aside from Mike McKenzie. Even if the team signs a CB in free agency like Asante Samuel, they'll still need to draft one for nickel and dime purposes and as a future replacement for MM.
11 Team Image Buffalo Bills Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma 6-4 220
The Bills have been open about the fact that they would like to add a big, talented WR opposite Lee Evans and Malcolm Kelly fits the bill.

12 Team Image Denver Broncos Ryan Clady T Boise State 6-5 320
Ryan Clady seems like the prototypical Broncos offensive lineman and should fit well in their scheme.
13 Team Image Carolina Panthers Kenny Phillips FS Miami 6-1 202
The Panthers need some more playmakers on defense and some help in the secondary. Kenny Phillips should help fill both of those needs.
14 Team Image Chicago Bears Jeff Otah T Pittsburgh 6-6 340
The Bears problems on offense stemmed a lot from struggles along the offensive line. They need to younger and more talented quickly if Benson is going to even have a chance.
15 Team Image Detroit Lions Aqib Talib CB Kansas 6-1 180
The Lions need help everywhere. Talib can be an immediate starter and impact player at CB for them.
16 Team Image Arizona Cardinals Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois 5-11 225
Edgerrin James is slowing down so the Cardinals draft a younger version. Mendenhall has the same unique blend of size and speed that made Edge special.
17 Team Image Minnesota Vikings Derrick Harvey DE Florida 6-4 252
The Vikings were great against the run, but struggled against the pass. As the Giants proved, good pass defense starts with a pass rush which Harvey can provide.
18 Team Image Houston Texans Leodis McKelvin CB Troy 5-11 190
The Texans need CB help opposite Fred Bennett and with Jerome Mathis constantly getting hurt and Andre Davis possibly leaving via FA, they need a RS as well. McKelvin is both.
19 Team Image Philadelphia Eagles DeSean Jackson WR California 5-11 165
Desean Jackson's weight at the combine is concerning, but his 40 time and college production make it easier to overlook. Jackson can step in immediately and contribute as a returner and deep threat.
20 Team Image Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kentwan Bulmer DT North Carolina 6-5 300
Balmer is a perfect fit for the Cover 2 scheme at DT. The Bucs rely heavily on their defense and need to keep re-tooling.
21 Team Image Washington Redskins Calais Campbell DE Miami 6-7 282
The Redskins are making a pass rushing DE a priority this offseason and with the proper motivation, Campbell can cause havoc for opposing QBs.
22 Team Image Dallas Cowboys Sam Baker T Southern California 6-5 308
Flozell Adams will be testing FA and, even if he wasn't, he's getting up there in age. Baker can hopefully provide the same stability Adams did.

23 Team Image Pittsburgh Steelers Limas Sweed WR Texas 6-4 220
Big Ben requested openly bigger targets for him to go to in the red zone. Sweed had an injury shortened senior season but does not lack size or talent.
24 Team Image Tennessee Titans Antoine Cason CB Arizona 6-0 182
Pacman Jones' days as a Titan are over and the Titans desperately need to replace his talent. Cason will hopefully fill that void without the legal baggage.
25 Team Image Seattle Seahawks Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon 5-10 235
Shaun Alexander is absolutely done. Maurice Morris is nothing more than a backup. The Seahawks draft Stewart to be their new franchise back.
26 Team Image Jacksonville Jaguars Quentin Groves DE Auburn 6-4 255
The playoff game against the Pats exposed the Jags major weakness: no pass rush. Groves can help alleviate this along with Greg Williams' blitzing schemes.
27 Team Image San Diego Chargers Reggie Smith FS Oklahoma 6-0 200
The Chargers have no glaring needs, but the secondary could use some depth. Reggie Smith can provide that.
28 Team Image Dallas Cowboys Felix Jones RB Arkansas 6-0 200
Jerry Jones would prefer the other Arkansas RB, but in would in no way be disappointed with the highly talented Felix Jones to split time with MBIII.
29 Team Image San Francisco 49ers Phillip Merling DE Clemson 6-5 270
The Niners need a WR, but none of the ones available warrant being taken here or they do not fit Mike Martz's system. Merling will help improve a mediocre defense.
30 Team Image Green Bay Packers Brandon Flowers CB Virginia Tech 5-10 190
The Packers are another team without a glaring need. Flowers will be the nickel CB and the eventual replacement for an aging and injury prone Charles Woodson.
31 Team Image New England Patriots N/A N/A N/A - -
*** This Draft Selection was Forfeited ***
32 Team Image New York Giants Dan Connor OLB Penn State 6-1 232
The Giants were so thin at LB last season they were playing Mathias Kiwanuka out of position there. Connor would allow Kiwi to move back to DE along with giving the Giants a solid starter.

  7. First of all Ryan wont fall that far and Highsmith wont go to dolphins in 2nd rnd They will go after T or G in early second. Also Slaton will not go to Indy in 2nd. Hes not a 2nd round RB. Will go to a team in late 3rd or 4th.

  8. r u kidding me? the saints NOW have a solid lb core...take j vilma at mlb...take possibly dan morgan or scott shanle at olb...take scott fujita at ilb...awesome...they dont need but maybe 1 late round pick at lb...but 1st address cornerback(not mike jenkins...i like cromartie or mckelvin for this 1)...then dt...i thnk pat sims would fit nicely in the 2nd round...3rd round...maybe another dt...possible a receiver...then no 4th round pick...5th-go for it...have a lb...6th-if u didnt get 1 in the 3rd round, try receiver...7-try an o lineman...then ull have a really solid team at all positions...playoff bound...SAINTS FOR SUPERBOWL!!!!!
