Positives
Lawrence Jackson can be described as streaky, possibly for this reason: the senior from the University of Southern California played with a bunch of very talented players. Jackson is strong on the pass rush, both getting to the opposing quarterback or batting down and deflecting his passes. He needs a bit more improvement as a run stopper, but in a 3-4 defense he will be very good in a short time. He is very good playing one on one, but with a double team he loses himself. That could have some teams steering clear from him. He is going to shore up any defense, and in time will be permanent for any defensive coordinator.
Negatives
He is still raw, which could mean he could improve tremendously, or he could stay the same for time to come. He will be a good player, but not one to build any defense around.
